Importing your brand & popups
Paste a URL; Janus does the tedious part. Brand import reads your live site's design; popup import rebuilds the popup you already run: every layer editable, nothing hotlinked.
Brand import
Available in the wizard's Brand step, the builder's Brand tab, and Settings → Branding defaults. From your homepage's HTML and CSS, Janus extracts:
- Colors: ranked from your stylesheets and classified into the four brand roles (background, text, accent, accent foreground) by luminance and saturation.
- Logo: found by header placement and naming signals, then downloaded and self-hosted so your popup never depends on your theme's CDN paths.
- Fonts: heading and body families, mapped to loadable equivalents with their font stylesheets carried along.
- Corner radius and copy voice: rounded out where detectable.
Each piece degrades independently: if your logo can't be confidently identified, you'll get the colors and fonts plus a note, never a failed import.
Popup import ("Clone my current popup")
The flagship trick: rebuild the popup already live on a site as a fully editable Janus draft. Tick Clone my current popup in the wizard's Brand step (about a minute), and Janus:
- Detects the popup vendor running on the page.
- Captures the popup's structure at both mobile and desktop breakpoints.
- Transpiles it structurally: real containers, text, images, forms, buttons; per-breakpoint style buckets; brand tokens; triggers and frequency settings; even a teaser-button teaser if one exists. It's a rebuild, not a screenshot.
- Self-hosts every image and maps fonts to loadable stand-ins.
Works two ways under the hood: a high-fidelity path for vendors that expose their full flow configuration, and a generic DOM path for everything else (including hand-rolled theme popups).
Fidelity scoring
Every clone is scored per device against the captured original. Scores below the confidence bar surface as a publish advisory, never a block, telling you which breakpoint deserves a look. Off-screen overflow on small phones is checked the same way.
After the import
- The clone plays in the wizard preview; ✓ Use this popup & edit adopts it, or keep it as a reference and build fresh.
- It's an ordinary draft: swap the game, attach a real offer, rewire triggers, run it as an A/B variant against a Janus template.
- An Imported style preset appears in the template step, carrying the imported brand.
